That would make sense.  If say, Perrin were the oldest, or just unmarried, and the parents died, he might taken in the younger siblings.. any in between would probably be out with their own families.     ________________________________ From: Michael Cooley <michael_at_newsummer.com> To: John Cooley Mailing List <undisclosed.recipients_at_johncooley.net> Sent: Thursday, June 21, 2012 2:20 PM Subject: Re: Perrin C. Cooley Yeah, I've long wondered about that census. I could be another man but I don't think so. That there is a Harriet Cooley living with them is interesting in light of the fact that he had a daughter Harriet a few years later. My thought has always been that the three were siblings, but it has never helped determine their parents. I'm sure I've tried to trace Edward before. I'll poke around again now. -Michael > Perrin C Cooley (1820-1912) poss m1 Polly Wood poss m2 Emeline Sutton m3 > Margaret A Reed > ..Harriet Cooley (c1856-) > ..Nellie Cooley (1859-1943) m John Woods > ....Daisy Cooley m1 ___ Briggs m2 ___ Earickson > ..Joseph Custer Cooley (1863-1924) m Sophronia Margaret Lane > ..Eliza Cooley > ..Princes Albert Cooley (1875 KS-1960) m1 Etta May Mayo m2 Nannie > Cunningham > ....Mary Ellen Cooley > ..........Gita MaeYates (Endicott) Towner > ....Patsy Cooley m ___ Devers > .........(children of Patsy Devers) > ..Frederick Cooley (c1879-) > > Harriet shows up on the 1860 census.
