John Cooley & "The King's Passengers to Maryland and Virginia" by Peter Wilson Coldham

I just yesterday received this book from Amazon.com. One observation from
these lists - most of the Cooley persons listed in this book were prosecuted
in the County of Middlesex, England. Has this discussion already been
exhausted by this list? These are the names that I found:

Felons transported from London to Virginia by the Forward, Capt. Daniel
Russell, in October 1723:
County of Middlesex: Cooley, John

Felons transported from London by the Forward, Capt. George Buckeridge, in
October 1730 and registered in Port South Potomack, Virginia, in January
1731:
  London: McColley, Andrew

Felons transported from London to Virginia by the Justitia, Capt. Barnet
Bond, in April 1743:
  London: Cooley, Richard - 14 years (sentence)
Note: Capt. Bond was prosecuted with Capt. John Sargent of the Forward for
maltreatment of his passengers on this voyage but was found not guilty.

Felons transported from London to Virginia (?) by the Laura, Capt. William
Gracie, in April 1746:
  County of Middlesex: Cooley, John

Felons transported from London to Virginia by the Greyhound, Capt. William
Gracie, in September 1751:
  County of Kent: Cooley, Robert

Felons transported from London to Virginia by the Tryal, Capt. John
Johnstoun, in July 1753:
  County of Middlesex:
    Cooley, Thomas (John) {does this mean that he was referred to by either
name?}
    McDonald, Alexander

Felons transported from London in February 1755 by the Greyhound, Capt.
Alexander Stewart, arriving in Maryland in April 1755:
  County of Middlesex: Cooley, James (Quarter Session)

Felons transported from London to Maryland by the Greyhound, Capt. Alexander
Stewart, in January 1756 arriving in April 1756:
  London: Cooley, Margaret

Felons transported from London to Virginia by the Tryal, Capt. John
Errington, in February 1765:
  County of Surrey: Coolley, Thomas (Quarter Session)

Felons transported from London by the Thornton, Captain John Kidd, in May
1774 & registered in Anne Arundell Co., Maryland recorded on 23 July 1774:
  County of Middlesex:
    Clewley, Joseph
    Cooley, John - runaway

There are a number of Mathews/Matthews also.
