I ran into that problem at wikitree while doing research on George A
Cooley (1871-1944) m Mabel D Robinson, possible son of Jonathan L Cooley,
son of George Cooley and Nancy Hubbard. Using a descendant's knowledge
that he had a sister named Alice and his guess that she was Alice Crockett
(1873-1837) of Fairfield, Ottawa County, OK, I've come up with the
following. I've just written to the mailing list for the county in hopes
of coming up with an obituary for Alice. I've updated the line (grayed
out) and with notes at
http://ancestraldata.com/ahnentafel/256/lineages/johncooley-desc.html .
Search for "Mabel D Robinson" to find it quickly.
Jonathan Lycurgus Cooley (1842-1926) m1 Phoebe Elizabeth Hendrick m2 Mary
A Parks m3 Celia Langworthy
m1. Phoebe Elizabeth Hendrick Moler Huffman Cooley
a. George A Cooley, b April 17, 1871, Henry Co MO
b. Nancy Alice Cooley, b May 1873, m Levi Crockett
Jonathan and "Elizabeth" appear with her children from her previous
marriages, 1870, Henry Co MO. She died in 1875.
m2. Mary "Mollie" Parks
a. Robert L Cooley (1877-1962) m Alice May Russell or Russett
b. Richard Monroe Cooley (1879-1950) m Ida Miller
c. Charles William Cooley (1883-1962) m Phoebe Crotzer
d. Jenney E Cooley (c1885-)
e. Josephine Cooley (c1887-)
f. Molly P Cooley (c1890-)
Since Mollie is living with her son Richard in 1900, I'm guessing that
Jonathan had left for California by then. Perhaps they divorced. If so,
a record might exist.
m3. Cecilia Langworthy
No children.
We know from Alice's marriage notice that her father were present in 1890.
In 1894 he shows up in the soldier's home in California.
