Joseph Cooley's first wife

My dear, long time friend, Julie, is a matrilineal descendant of Elizabeth
Cooley White and, therefore, of Joseph Cooley's first wife. She has agreed
to mtDNA test. I've just ordered the kit.

We know absolutely nothing about this woman other than she married Joseph
and had, I believe, six children. We can only assume that she they married
in Stokes County NC. Julie might match to no one or to just about every
woman and her mother.:) But it will be data. It may not lead anywhere, but
who knows. For fifty bucks it's worth the gamble!
