L448 SNP still in the works

I talked to someone at ftdna this morning. It's still going to be a couple
of weeks before the L448 results come in.

Someone posted somewhere that he didn't have one of the major markers
found in his dad's DNA. A mutation can happen anywhere. That I don't have
the M417 marker doesn't necessarily mean that my dad or grandfather didn't
have it. I think it's unlikely that's the case, but I suppose not having
M417 doesn't rule out L448. We'll see.

BTW, the Cooley DNA project is moving ahead on a lot of fronts. Although
we now know that Abraham was not related, some of you who have been
curious about him for years--even decades--and might be interested in this
news. A researcher has found that Abraham and Thadeus signed a declaration
in Orange County, NY in 1775. Furthermore, the Thadeus DNA results are a
37/37 match to the Thaddeus of KY/OH/IN whose brother, William, was born
in Goshen, Orange County, NY. It seems that all roads for this clan lead
back to Goshen--a place where our John never trod.
