Subject: 1859 court case
Hello,
James Cooley died in Dickson County in 1858. It's not clear that he left a
will but E.C. Cooley filed a petition to sell his lands. Cooley's heirs
lived outside of TN so the court ordered that a notice be published for
four consecutive weeks, "requiring the non-resident defendants to appear
at the March Term...on the first of March 1859."
Are there any records regarding the estate of James Cooley?
