Don's results are in!

This is exciting stuff. We now know at what SNPs we break away from Phil
Hackett. This is how we "descend" from L448:

L448 > YP355 > YP609 > YP4248

In other words, YP4248 is the most recent SNP we share with Phil. John
Cleary, who has helped us a great deal, gives a very rough dating of
YP4248 to the middle ages, perhaps about 1200 AD -- but that's very much
speculative at this point.

Don differs with Phil by 6 SNPs. These are his private SNPs--SNPs that he
doesn't presently share with anyone. Of course, when I test, we'll know
which of those we match on. Those matching SNPs would have been John
Cooley's "private SNPs." Any mismatches Don and I might have (if any)
would have come down through either Edward's of James's line. Those
mutations would have occurred in the 1760s or 70s.

I'll be able to order a test in about two months. But we'll want one of
the PA Cooleys to test. The results would give us some idea as to where
the lines split off.

So, this is good news and well illustrates where we're going with this.
Potentially, Don's six private SNPs will branch off one after the other
and we'll get better resolution on the dates, perhaps geography, and what
other families/surnames we're related to. From what I can presently
imagine, I think that will be as good it gets.

I'll be happy to answer any question I can answer. :)
