Re: Interesting DNA rest results

It was pointed out that I didn't well distinguish between the two Johns.
Daniel is said to have been the son of John Cooley of Stokes County. This
is now thrown into serious doubt. And the John Cooley who married Annis
Hardin is now shown to have been closely related to Daniel--or at least to
his recorded descendants.

We now have the prospect of John W Cooley (1790-1857) m Mahala Hardwick
AND/OR John Cooley (1797-1880+) and Annis Hardin being sons of Daniel.
This needs straightened out. Was Hardin's John a nephew of Daniel? Was
Hardwick's John misidentified? The Y for the latter line appears not to be
extant. But we can probably find descendants of some of Daniel's other
sons to confirm the results of the descendant of James Alvin Cooley. These
are possible leads (look at the Y-page for details):

Leo Rae Cooley (1922-1984) m Erma Margaret Heal
Theron M Cooley (1906-1972)
Joe H Cooley (1918-2003) m Frankie Mae Bell
Howard Cooley (1912-1966) m1 Ann Quall m2 Hazel Blue
William E Cooley (1932-2006) Eva Doris Green
Earl M Cooley (1937-2008)
Charles William Cooley (1884-1949) m Eula Mae Upton
