Many of you know that I'm a descendant of John's son Edward. Another of
Edward's descendants tested 25 markers several years ago. He has bumped it
up to 37 and he also matches 37/37 to the modal for our group. This means
that none of the mismatches I possess came from Edward. My mismatches
could have occurred anywhere along the seceding generations, and it is
very possible that it is I who is the mutant. :) This is interesting only
in that we now know that we cannot differentiate between the sons of
John's on the basis of their descendants' Y chromosome. We know that
descendants of Edward, James and Edmond (John's son?) can have matching
Y's. We also know that descendants of William and Perrin have a matching
mismatch (if that makes sense).
