Re: Casey County Tax Lists 1807-1849

Thanks Cynthia!

Virtually all of us descend from the Casey County Cooleys. My Edward was
possibly the only brother not to have lived in the region, although he
disappears for a couple of years from the Stokes County tax records prior
to their father's presumed death in 1811. He moved his family to Indiana
that year, the same year Joseph, Perrin and James went to MO, and likely
the same year Cornelius went to Stewart County, TN.

A number of the Cooley tax records have been transcribed by Sandy Stanton
and Shirley Wilcox. I have them at
http://ancestraldata.com/ahnentafel/256/kyTaxLists.html . Please let me
know if you have anything you'd like me to add.

-Michael
