We have found no other connecting White family in America to our knowledge.
I don't think any of our family has done a DNA study which could be helpful.
Randolph White came to America in about 1772 to Virginia as an indentured
servant. He was brought against his will but we can't confirm the reason.
It may
have been on the prison ship, Thorton into Leedsville, Va. port. Could John
Cooley, Sr. have arrived the same way is a question we have been unable
to answer. They did not come at the same time.
I might add that Randolph White left his indenture early and joined the
Revolutionary Army, serving about five years. His owner was a Tory and left
to fight on the other side is the story handed down in the family.
